An image evaluation chart and a method for testing performances of the video equipment using the same. The image evaluation chart includes a resolution inspection area. The resolution inspection area includes a center point located at a center part of the chart, a regular-squared outer line located outside of the center point, and a plurality of resolution measurement lines symmetrically arranged at right and left sections and upper and lower sections on the basis of the center point. Therefore, the image evaluation chart accurately and efficiently tests all performances, for example, resolution, balance, view angle, distortion, and focus, etc., of video equipment such as a camera by means of one-shot image capture, and provides users with reliable test data.
