<p>A method for feeding fine-sized raw materials to an existing process comprises the following steps: supplying the fine-sized raw materials into a flame (25) of an oxyfuel burner (20), wherein the power intensity of the flame, defined as the power of the burner divided by the area of the least circle that encloses the flame root, is at least 3 kW/cm2, bringing said fines to agglomerate by means of heat from said flame (25), thereby creating an agglomerated product, and supplying the agglomerated product at high momentum directly to an existing process. The method solves fines feeding problems and substantially reduces the negative effect of the cooling on the production rate. The use of a burner for feeding fine-sized raw materials to an existing process is also disclosed.</p> |
