The machine has a supporting wheel set (4) with two wheels (5, 6) and a pair of drivable crop processing members (7, 8) disposed on either side of a drawbar (1). A steering plate (11) is fastened to a rear end, and is pivotable about an upwardly orientated steering axis. An end of a hydraulic cylinder (10) is connectable with an end of the steering plate and another end of the cylinder (10) is connected with the wheel set that extends through a slot and is movably included in the slot. The drawbar and the crop members are brought into an operative position using the cylinder.
