A vending machine for extracting a gift using a capsule is provided to form a capsule receiving container and a gift display shelf as one body, thereby improving the design of the vending machine. A vending machine for extracting a gift using a capsule(12) includes the capsule, a main body(19), a paper money counting device, a detecting device, and a controller. A gift or a gift coupon is in the capsule. The main body includes a receiving container(14), a discharging device, and a display shelf(18). The paper money counting device is installed in the main body, and determines whether incoming money is authentic or not. The detecting device informs a user of winning of the gift coupon with an image or a sound signal when the capsule having the gift coupon is discharged. The controller detects the incoming of money and controls the driving of the discharging device, the paper money counting device, and the detecting device.
