The method involves registering a data stream on a broadcast management server (104), by a user of a mobile telephone (101), where the stream is delivered by a broadcasting server (110). The server (110) is interrogated at regular intervals by the server (104) to determine if the broadcasting stream is updated, where the server (104) emits an updated notification message based on a load of a mobile telephone network (102). The message is sent to the telephone by the server (104). The telephone is connected to the server (110) to download updated version of contents conveyed by the data stream.
