A semiconductor memory device is provided to reduce a data line while processing the same amount of parallel data. A semiconductor memory device comprises a local line(LIO,LIOB) and a global line(GIO). A local driver(300) drives the local line in correspondence to an inputted data signal. A global driver(200) drives the global line in correspondence to the inputted data signal. A data input/output control part(100) transfers output data transferred through the local line to the global line, and transfers input data transferred through the global line to the local line.
