The invention relates to at least partially sustained-release, pharmaceutical forms of tramadol for oral administration, in which tramadol is present at least partially in a form of an in situ formed compound of tramadol and another, acidic pharmaceutical active substance and/or auxiliary substance with a water solubility of <= 100mg/ml, and to a process for preparing them. For the formation of an in situ formed compound of tramadol are preferably used tramadol hydrochloride and the sodium salt of diclofenac, naproxen, acetylsalicylic acid, salicylic acid, benzoic acid, saccharin, cyclamate or acesulfame.
