Sewage clarifying plant

Raw sewage enters collecting vessel 25 by inlet 26, flows into preliminary settle basin 8 via baffle 28 and then via collecting vessel 30 into the basin 12 containing the foamed-plastic rotating-plate assemblies 14 and 15 which are covered with biological "fur." The effluent flows via collecting vessel 33 into settling basin 11 where the sludge which settles is forced through vertical pipe 22 into scooping compartment 21. Sludge can be scopped by buckets 20 or pumped (not shown) into collecting vessel 23 and via vessel 25 into putrefaction compartment 4 for final removal via pipe 38. The pure effluent overflows basin 11 and is discharged through pipe 37.
