<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display television set which stably suppresses image sticking at low cost only when required, and also to provide a video display device, and a method for suppressing image sticking of plasma television set. <P>SOLUTION: In addition to predetermined operation switches such as a power-on/power-off switch, a channel selector or the like, the television set comprises a remote controller 11c for remote control which is provided with a luminance control key 11c1 by which luminance of a video image displayed on a screen of a plasma display panel 11e is adjusted to a predetermined value.
