<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinylidene fluoride type resin hollow filament porous membrane especially suitable for water filtration treatment by the membrane separation activated sludge process (MBR METHOD) which has an excellent flexing resistance (A) and a great amount of water penetration (B) while the particulate (bacteria) inhibition efficacy by micropore is good. <P>SOLUTION: The vinylidene fluoride type resin hollow filament porous membrane is characterized by comprising a vinylidene fluoride type resin of which the weight average molecular weight is 200,000-600,000 and having following characteristics (A) and (B): (A) the number of times of the flexing fracture measured under the load of 48g by covering the one end of the membrane with an epoxy resin having the hardness of 98 is 100 times or more and (B) the ratio F (L=200 mm, v=70%)/Pm<SP>2</SP>of the conversion value F (L=200 mm, v=70%) (m/day) into the porosity v=70% of the amount of water penetration at the sample length L=200 mm under the conditions of differential pressure of 100 kPa and water temperature of 25°C versus the square value Pm<SP>2</SP>of the average pore size Pm (μm) measured by Half Dry Method is 2,000 (m/day×μm<SP>2</SP>) or more. The hollow filament porous membrane is manufactured by adjusting the various manufacturing conditions by means of the manufacturing method of the hollow filament porous membrane in which the outer diameter and the wall thickness are increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
