PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication apparatus for achieving further improvement in error detection accuracy. SOLUTION: A communication apparatus according to the present invention adopts LDPC codes as an error correction system. For example, an LDPC decoding section (22) performs error correction and parity check on demodulation data, a CRC processing section (23) performs a parity check using a CRC on the decoded data, and an error discrimination section (24) discriminates an error in reception data based on a check result of the LDPC decoding section (22) and/or a check result of the CRC processing section (23).
