PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of working an ad-hoc mode just as needed, and an information processor such as a printer or a scanner comprising the radio communication apparatus. SOLUTION: A radio communication apparatus 100 which performs radio communication with a terminal device 41, comprises: an ad-hoc mode radio communication means 103 for communicating with the terminal device 41 in the ad-hoc mode; a reception field strength change detection section 114 for detecting the movement of the terminal device 41; and a control means 109 which initiates or stops the ad-hoc mode radio communication means 103 in a case where it is detected by the reception field strength change detection section 114 that the terminal device 41 moves.
