PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire width processing method of a superconductive wire for slit-processing a superconductive wire formed by using a wide board in high production efficiency without degrading a superconductive characteristic. SOLUTION: This wire width processing method of a superconductive wire comprises a process S10 for preparing the superconductive wire S, and a processing process S30 for cutting the superconductive wire S by processing parts 31-35 having cutting pairs of parts 21-30 facing to each other. At least two sets of the processing parts 31-35 are arranged to sandwich the superconductive wire S between the pairs of cutting parts 21-30 and to adjoin each other at a certain distance in the width direction of the superconductive wire S, the contact positions of the cutting parts 22, 23, 26, 27 and 30 contacting one-side surface S2 of the superconductive wire S are positioned on the outer side in the width direction of the superconductive wire S relative to the contact positions of the cutting parts 21, 24, 25, 28 and 29 contacting the other-side surface S1 of the superconductive wire S.
