PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and stencil printer capable of reliably informing use of environmentally friendly consumable supplies to an operator. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided for performing printing on a print sheet using consumable supplies such as ink and master, wherein the image forming apparatus comprises IC tags 3a, 20a provided with a consumable supply and having data indicating whether or not the consumable supply is an environmentally friendly consumable supply written thereon, and IC tag reader/writer 40 for reading data written on the IC tags 3a, 20a when the consumable supply is mounted, and when the IC tag reader/writer detects the consumable supply to be an environmentally friendly consumable supply, a logo mark indicating use of an environmentally friendly consumable supply is printed on a print sheet.
