PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is not shifted during wearing it, which adheres to the body well, where leakage from its rear side never occurs, and which is excellent in leakage prevention and wear comfort. SOLUTION: This napkin 1 is provided with a liquid-permeable front surface sheet 2, a liquid-impermeable rear surface sheet 3, and a liquid-retainable absorber 4 interposed between both of the sheets. This napkin 1 is oblong substantially, has a rear adhesion part 5 along a rear edge end part D on the side of the skin abutting surface of the rear edge end part D, but never has an adhesion part on the side of the skin non-abutting surface of a rear part C.
