PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary absorbent article having high absorbency which is used for improving absorbency of a disposable diaper by attachment on the disposable diaper. SOLUTION: The auxiliary absorbent article 1 is arranged on a back side part B of the disposable diaper 10 for improving an absorbency of the disposable diaper 10. The auxiliary absorbent article is divided into an absorbing part 2 and a leakage prevention part 3 in the longitudinal direction, and is folded in the longitudinal direction at a folding part L between the absorbing part 2 and the leakage prevention part 3. The auxiliary absorbent article is arranged on the back part B of the disposable diaper 10 by arranging the absorbing part 2 on a skin abutting surface of the back part B of the disposable diaper 10 and the leakage prevention part 3 on the non-skin abutting surface of the back part B of the disposable diaper 10. A disposable diaper abutting surface of the absorbing part 2 is made of a liquid-permeable sheet, and a disposable diaper abutting surface of the leakage prevention part 3 is made of a leakage prevention sheet.
