PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher in which dishes are put in and out easily and which is easy to use. SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes an upper stage basket 18 and a lower stage basket 17 which are arranged in a washing tub 2, which house the dishes 7 and which are divided into a plurality of upper and lower stages. The upper stage basket 18 is composed of a frame 19 and a dish housing part 20 placed in the frame 19. In at least a part of the dish housing part 20, a placing surface 20a for tilting glasses 21 in a plurality of lines from this side to the depth, a plurality of placing ribs 23 formed connected from this side to the depth and a plurality of glasses overturning prevention parts 24 and 25 formed at the two or more placing ribs 23 for preventing overturning of the glasses 21, are provided. The height of the glasses overturning prevention part 24 arranged at the frontmost line of the placing ribs 23 is set to be higher than that of the glasses overturning prevention part 2 arranged on a deep side. In the case of housing the glasses 21 on the deep side of the upper stage basket 18, the glasses 21 are less likely to come into contact with the glasses overturning prevention part 24 at the frontmost line, so that housing work of the glasses 21 becomes easy.
