<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a user from forgetting to apply a parking brake while surely imparting a sufficient braking force to the parking brake at an early stage when an automatic transmission is shifted to the parking range of a shift range, in a parking control system for vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This parking control system for vehicle is equipped with a shift-by-wire device 26, an electric parking brake device 50, and an automatic transmission ECU 60. The shift-by-wire device 26 is automatically driven based on an electric range position signal corresponding to the range of the automatic transmission 20, and switches the range of the automatic transmission 20. At the same time, the shift-by-wire device 26 switches a parking mechanism 27, which is provided in the automatic transmission 20, between an engaged state and an engagement released state. The electric parking brake device 50 is automatically driven based on the range position signal, and switches the parking brake 53, which is provided in a vehicle, between a braked state and a brake released state.
