PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-noise outdoor unit for a refrigeration cycle device of which heat exchange capability is not lowered significantly. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit for the refrigeration cycle device is structured with an air blower 1 mounted at an upper part of an outdoor unit main body 3, a heat exchanger 41 provided in the outdoor unit main body for conducting heat exchange with air flowing in from outside of the outdoor unit main body and a panel 7, mounted at a side face of the outdoor unit main body to face an air flow-in side or an air flow-out side of the heat exchanger, consisting of a plurality of approximately flat metal panels 6 respectively inclining at a predetermined angle for an outdoor unit mounting surface and a panel frame part 9 for supporting the plurality of metal panels 6.
