PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP with high reliability without trouble in a seal part such as a crack and leak even when an exhaust pipe formed of nonlead borosilicate glass is used. SOLUTION: The PDP is provided with a front surface plate 22 and a rear surface plate 23 oppositely arranged, a discharge space 14 formed by sealing a periphery of both of substrates, and the tubular exhaust pipe 21 for exhausting the discharge space 14, and sealing discharge gas in the discharge space. The exhaust pipe 21 is formed of material with no lead contained, and a ratio of a thickness of the exhaust pipe 21 to an outer diameter of the exhaust pipe 21 is more than 0.2.
