PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact lens in a novel shape which is excellent in shape stability and lens wearing comfort at high level. SOLUTION: The ratio T<SB>BJ</SB>/T<SB>FJ</SB>of the thickness T<SB>FJ</SB>of a junction 32 between an optical zone and a peripheral zone of a lens front and the thickness T<SB>BJ</SB>of a junction 30 between an optical zone and a peripheral zone of a lens back is determined depending upon the dioptric power P of the optical zone so as to satisfy a specified conditional expression.
