PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the vibration of an optical scanner through inexpensive structure. SOLUTION: The optical scanner support base 10, which is mounted on the casing of an image forming apparatus and supports the optical scanner 20, is characterized in that it has a first metal plate 101 on which the optical scanner 20 is mounted; and a second metal plate 102, which is arranged so as to be adhered tightly to the face of the first metal plate 101, the face facing the mounting face of the optical scanner 20.
