PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an eye pattern constituted only by optionally specified bits and jitter analysis results. SOLUTION: A bit selecting means 24 is displayed on a display screen 20. By selecting mode with a mode selecting menu 25, a bit selecting means 24 is changed, and a bit can be selected in a different way. When bit individual specification mode is selected, box type objects 40-50 are displayed. These boxes correspond to respective bits of a digital signal, and bits are selected when a user clicks a box corresponding to the bit intended to be used for display with a mouse cursor 23. When the user completes the bit selection, the user presses a display button 21 with the mouse cursor 23. Thus, the eye pattern constituted only by the selected bits is displayed on a display region 22. The jitter analysis results only about the selected bits is also displayed.
