PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing agent having excellent permeability and fillability with respect to pores (gaps), and capable of applying a sealing treatment up to a state where the gaps of a thermal spray coating material is substantially totally filled, and to provide a thermal spray coated member. SOLUTION: The sealing agent for a ceramic thermal spray coating contains an epoxy group-containing component and a setting agent, and does not comprise a polymerizable vinyl group-containing solvent. The epoxy group-containing component is a mixture of a polyglycidyl ether compound in which the number of epoxy groups comprised in one molecule is three or more as an essential component, and an alkylene diglycidyl ether compound or a cycloaliphatic diepoxy compound in which the number of epoxy groups comprised in one molecule is two. Further, the ratio of the polyglycidyl ether compound to be blended is 10 to 80 wt.% to the part of the epoxy compound in the mixture other than the part blended with the setting agent.
