摘要 <p>A pixel region includes two sub pixel regions where different voltages are applied to a signal voltage supplied from a source bus line via a TFT. A first substrate has a first electrode arranged corresponding to the two sub pixel regions. A second substrate has a second electrode opposing to the first electrode via a vertical orientation type liquid crystal layer. A liquid crystal capacity is formed for each of the sub pixel regions. When displaying a half tone, each of the sub pixel regions has at least one liquid crystal domain forming a region darker than the half tone substantially parallel to an edge portion of the first electrode inside the edge portion in a front view. At least a part of the edge portion of the first electrode is arranged to be overlapped with a gate bus line so as to selectively shield the light of at least a part of the dark region. The capacitance Cgd between drain gates of the two TFT corresponding to the two sub pixel regions are substantially identical. Thus, it is possible to provide a liquid crystal display device of VA mode having an excellent display quality.</p>
