<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new binder capable of suppressing decomposition reaction of a PC electrolyte by using a negative electrode formed by mixing a high crystalline carbon material having grown hexagonal net structure as graphite powder with a binder without covering the graphite powder, coating and drying. <P>SOLUTION: In a lithium ion secondary battery having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing an organic solvent, the negative electrode is formed by binding graphite base carbon powder having a graphitization degree of 0.8 or more to a negative current collector with a binder of water soluble polyacrylic acid containing a dehydration condensation polymerization product of polyacrylic acid (PAA) and polyallylamine hydrochloride (PAH) or water soluble polyacrylic acid containing a dehydration condensation polymerization product of polyacrylic acid (PAA) and polyacrylamide (PAAd), and the organic solvent contains 50 vol.% of more propylene carbonate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
