PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating up a freeboard of a fluidized-bed gasifying furnace to a high temperature by which the decomposition of tar in a produced gas can be promoted without lowering the heating value of the produced gas in the freeboard of the fluidized-bed gasifying furnace and to provide an applied apparatus. SOLUTION: A plurality of pipes (16) are passed through the freeboard (14) and a high-temperature gas is made to flow through the plurality of pipes.
