<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for a glove box, which can fix a knob at the time of key locking, and can positively open the glove box at the time of cancellation of the key locking. <P>SOLUTION: The locking device 10 for the glove box has: (a) a housing 20; (b) a stay 30 having a slope portion 33 and an abutting portion 34, and movable with respect to the housing 20; (c) the knob 40 movable with respect to the housing 20; (d) a knob projection 50 arranged on the knob 40 in one body with the same, and sliding on the slope portion 33 of the stay 30 upon operation of the knob 40, to thereby move the stay 30 with respect to the housing 30; and (e) a key cylinder 60 arranged on the knob 40, having a projection 63, and movable between a key locking position 63a at which the projection 63a abuts on the abutting portion 34 of the stay 30 to disable knob operation, and a key locking cancellation position 63b at which the projection 63 falls out of the abutting portion 34 of the stay 30 to enable the knob operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
