PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording and playing device and electronics equipment capable of recording and playing a packet with a small capacity.

SOLUTION: The information recording and playing device 10 includes a separation processor 20 extracting a TS (Transport Stream) packet from a Transport Stream; a buffer 32 for recording stored with the TS packet extracted by the separation processing section 20; a buffer 30 for playing with the TS packet stored therein and extracted by the separation processor 20; a decoder 40 performs decode processing at least one of video data and audio data for the TS packet stored in the buffer 30 for play. The separation processor 20 extracts a PMT (Program Map Table) packet from the Transport Stream, and separates the TS packet having identifying information for video and audio defined by the PMT packet from the Transport Stream.
