PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing sleeve for optical fiber connection with which the connection part of optical fibers can be freely bent, the size and weight of the connection part can be reduced and also time for wiring and connection work can be shortened. SOLUTION: In the reinforcing sleeve, flexible tension members 3 formed by twisting wires are arranged along both sides of the connection part of optical fibers 1, and are integrated by a hot melt tube 2 hot-melted together with the connection part and a heat-shrank heat shrinkable tube 4. The reinforcing sleeve is heated and fused to form a nearly flat shape in the cross section, the internal flexible tension members 3 are arranged along both ends. The flexible tension members 3 are arranged in a pair at an equal space apart in a position surrounding the optical fiber 1, so that the flexible tension members 3 and the optical fiber 1 are placed in parallel.
