PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display system which allows a user other than an owner to easily see information of a liquid crystal screen of a mobile electronic information apparatus. SOLUTION: A mobile phone 10 is attached to a holder 50 by inserting a backlight unit 20 separated from a liquid crystal panel 12 into insertion port 51 together with its case 21. When a lamp 55 of the holder 50 is lit in this state, the lamp 55 emits light from a rear surface side of the liquid crystal panel 12 instead of a backlight 31 of the mobile phone 10. Light transmitted through the liquid crystal panel 12 is projected on a transmission type screen 3. Thereby, the user 2 other than the owner 4 can see information of the liquid crystal screen 12A by the transmission type screen 3.
