PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouth opener which enables the opening of the patient's mouth during the dental treatment and the expansion of lips at a site disturbing the treatment simultaneously. SOLUTION: The lips on the side opposite to a bite block 11 is expanded with a mouth corner hook 12 mounted on a spring 13 connected to the bite block 11 set between teeth on upper and lower jaws within an oral cavity to facilitate the opening of the patient's mouth while improving the workability of the treatment by a dentist. The angle of the connection of the bite block 11 and the spring 13 is variable, thereby enabling the mouth corner hook to expand a desired site of the lips. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
