<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a flicker phenomenon generated by difference between work functions of reflective pixel electrodes and a counter electrode and a burning phenomenon by interior ions of a liquid crystal are generated and reduction of display quality of a liquid crystal display apparatus is generated by time change of interior cell voltage generated by the difference between the work functions. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display apparatus, the liquid crystal is encapsulated between a first electrode substrate having the plurality of reflective pixel electrodes and a transparent conductive film opposed to the first electrode substrate and a charge trap element for correcting the difference between the work functions of the reflective pixel electrodes and the counter electrode is provided between the reflective pixel electrodes and the transparent conductive film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
