ANTI-PCB MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY THAT CAN BE USED FOR DETERMINING MIXED SAMPLE OF A PLURALITY OF PCB HOMOLOGS OF VARIOUS NUMBERS OF CHLORINE ATOM, HYBRIDOMA THAT PRODUCES THE ANTIBODY AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING PCB USING THE ANTIBODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-PCB monoclonal antibody having cross reactivity to a plurality of PCB homologs of various numbers of chlorine atom and having high affinity to PCB homologs of 3 to 6 chlorine atoms among all PCB homologs of 1 to 10 chlorine atoms, a method for producing it and a method for determining PCB using the anti-PCB monoclonal antibody.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the anti-PCB monoclonal antibody is characterized by using, as a hapten, a mixture of isomers of biphenyl derivatives represented by general formula (I), wherein n indicates an integer of 1 to 10; X and Y indicate each an integer of 0 to 2 respectively; and the sum of X and Y indicates an integer of 1 to 4. The anti-PCB monoclonal antibody is characterized by being produced by the above method and having cross reactivity to two or more kinds of PCB homologs having a different number of chlorine atom from each other. The method for determining PCB is characterized by using the above anti-PCB monoclonal antibody.
