PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner creating a comfortable living environment. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provide with a blowout opening 5, a vertical wind direction changing blade 8 controlling a vertical wind direction, and two arm parts 6 (6a, 6b) turnably holding one turning support point 9a each in both ends of the vertical wind direction changing blade 8. The first arm part 6a is provided with a first motor 13 driving the first arm part 6a of the two arm parts 6, a second motor 14 driving the vertical wind direction changing blade 8 and arranged in a body side, and a shaft output transmission mechanism transmitting shaft output of the second motor 14 to the vertical wind direction changing blade 8. It is composed such that the shaft output transmission mechanism is built in the first arm part 6a, the two arm parts 6 and the vertical wind direction changing blade 8 are individually operated, and in a state of positioning the turning support point 9a of the vertical wind direction changing blade 8 in front of the blowout opening 5, the vertical wind direction changing blade 8 is moved by turning of the vertical wind direction changing blade 8 and movement of the two arm parts 6.
