PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector display which can display high quality images by forming coated wedge films linearly changing their thicknesses on dichromic mirrors to suppress color shading. SOLUTION: This projector display has color separators 6, 8 having dichromic mirrors 20G, 20Y to separate the light from a light source 4 into R (red), G (green), and B (blue) light; reflective light modulators 10R, 10G, and 10B to optically modulate each separated beam of color light; a light combining means 12 to combine the beams of modulated light to obtain image light beam, and a projector optical system 14 to enlarge and project the obtained image light beam. Further, coated wedge films 42B, 42G, and 42Y are formed linearly changing their thicknesses on the above dichromic mirrors to suppress color shading.
