PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform-scale inspection device whose manufacturing cost does not increase sharply, to which a predetermined load can be applied satisfactorily, and moreover, which can maintain high inspection accuracy. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a supporting fixed frame 12 fixed to a foundation 1, striding over a platform scale to be inspected 5 that is an object of inspection, an oil-hydraulic cylinder system 13 that is a load generating device and a platform-scale inspecting load cell 14 arranged vertically in series, between the platform 4 of the scale 5 and a spot above the platform 4 in the fixed frame 12, and a fine load generating device 15 for generating a fine load to be made to act onto the scale 5 and the load cell 14. According to this constitution, a load strictly matching the predetermined load for inspection can be made to act, by generating a load that is close to the predetermined load for the inspection by the use of the oil-hydraulic cylinder 13, and afterwards, generating fine load by the generating device 15.
