PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor (pallet fork) comprising an anchor body formed, using a simple process with high accuracy and a guard pin, and to provide a method for manufacturing the anchor. SOLUTION: This anchor 342 for a watch is provided with the anchor body 344 formed by electroforming, the guard pin 348 formed by electroforming, a pallet staff 345 fixed to the anchor body 344, and two pallets 346a, 346b fixed to the anchor body 344. In this anchor 342, a guard pin attaching part 348c provided on the guard pin 348, is constituted so as to be fitted in a lateral direction with respect to a guard pin accepting part 344c provided in the anchor body 344.
