PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reinforcing a horizontal wall formed of ALC panels, which is feasible by carrying out work only from outside, in order to be applicable to an existing building in use, and to provide a reinforcing structure. SOLUTION: According to the method, an area close to a short-side header surface of the ALC panel (1) is fixed to a stud (2) inside the panel, and at least one of the short-side header surface and a joint arranged on the short-side header surface, is bored by a drill or the like to form a hole (5) therein, from outside the horizontal wall, followed by inserting a bolt (6) into the hole (5). Then one end of the bolt (6) is fixed to the stud (2) by stud welding, and a flat plate member (7) to which the ALC panel (1) can be fixed from outside, is mounted on the other end of the bolt (6). The bolt (6) has its head fixed to the stud (2) by stud welding, and is mounted on the flat plate member (7) by means of a nut. Therefore, except for an edge of the horizontal wall, the two ALC panels (1) having their short-side header surfaces facing to each other are reinforced at the same time by the single flat plate member (7).
