<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce extraordinary sound generated when driving a plasma display panel (PDP) without spoiling voice for listening. <P>SOLUTION: A plasma display apparatus comprises: the PDP 10; a driving signal generating means 11 for generating a driving signal of the PDP 10; a band pass filter 13 for extracting a signal of a frequency component of the extraordinary sound generated when driving the PDP 10 from a driving signal; a signal reversing means 15 for reversing and outputting the extracted signal; a speaker 19 for converting the signal which is output by the signal reversing means to voice and outputting it; a frequency setting means 14 for selecting and setting signal frequency extracted by the band pass filter 13 in a plurality of kinds of frequencies set as selection candidates beforehand; a sound volume analysis means 21 for analyzing a volume of the extraordinary sound based on the driving signal; and amplification rate setting means 22 and 23 for setting an amplification rate of the signal extracted by the band pass filter 13 according to the analysis results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
