<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authenticity determination device for accurately performing authenticity determination of an individual. <P>SOLUTION: A speckle pattern of an authenticity determination object is detected, and a frequency component larger than a predetermined cutoff frequency is cut from the detected speckle pattern and binarized. According to this, an image part and a non-image part are accurately detected from the detected speckle pattern. The light intensity distribution of the speckle pattern corresponding to the non-image part is extracted to calculate an average light intensity, and a pattern sample is generated using it as a threshold.
