<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous steel material heating furnace and its heating method capable of burning a combustion control band comprising heat storage type switching combustion burners with a proper air ratio to achieve energy saving, low NOx and oxidation control of a steel material. <P>SOLUTION: In this continuous steel material heating furnace and its heating method, having the heat storage type switching combustion burners in at least two combustion control bands and using a continuous multiband-type walking beam for heating the continuous hot rolled steel material to a prescribed temperature, detectors for detecting oxygen concentration in an exhaust gas are disposed at least at two places of an induced exhaust gas header pipe of every control band having the heat storage-type switching combustion burners or at a downstream side of a joining portion of the induced exhaust gas main pipe where the induced exhaust gas is collected, and a flow rate of the combustion air of the combustion control bands having the heat storage type switching combustion burners is controlled on the basis of a result of the detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
