<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric deionizer efficiently removing a carbonic acid component in a demineralizing chamber, suitable for a water treatment device for a domestic fuel cell, in particular. <P>SOLUTION: This electric deionizer has a one-cell constitution, and has a constitution with a cathode/a cathode compartment/an anion exchange membrane/the anion exchanger-packed demineralizing chamber/an anion exchange membrane/an anode chamber/an anode, disposed in this order.
