PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device capable of preventing the crest part of a lead screw from getting over the thread crest part of a rack without making the energizing force of a clamp spring part for pressing the rack against the lead screw strong. SOLUTION: Since a counter weight 126 is coupled with a carriage 112 to freely undulate by a shaft 128, it undulates centering the shaft 128 when it is shocked, and presses one of racks 94A and 94B against the lead screw 96. Thus, the crest part of the lead screw 96 is prevented from getting over the thread crest part of the rack 94A or 94B without making the rotational torque of the lead screw 96 larger.
