PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for analyzing chlorine that measures the chlorine amount in a sample by subjecting hydrogen chloride, obtained by heating the sample, to coulometric titration in acetic acid as an electrolyte, and surely and efficiently treats the vapor of acetic acid discharged from a titration cell. SOLUTION: The chlorine analyzing apparatus mainly comprises a reaction tube 1 of a double-tube structure, comprising an inner tube 11 for receiving a sample and an outer tube 14 for recovering hydrogen chloride; an electric furnace 9 having a reaction tube insertion hole, into which the reaction tube 1 is inserted, equipped with a heater disposed around the reaction tube insertion hole; and the titration cell 3 for receiving acetic acid as an electrolyte and subjecting hydrogen chloride extracted from the reaction tube 1 to coulometric titration. The analysis apparatus further comprises a deodorizing tube 4, disposed on a rear stage of the titration cell 3 for thermally decomposing a vapor of acetic acid discharged from the titration cell, which is fitted into the electric furnace 9.
