PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus and an image recording method which can prevent an image recording position from deviating without being influenced by the length of a medium feeding path for feeding a recording medium and the king of the recording medium. SOLUTION: A registration for storing a thick recording medium R such as an envelope Re is inhibited in the n-th medium storing part 20-n connected to the n-th medium feeding system 21-n formed in a curved semi-circular shape. Another registration for storing the thick recording medium R such as the envelope Re is permitted in the first medium storing part 20-1 connected to the first medium feeding system 21-1 formed in a shorter feeding path than another n-th medium feeding system 21-n and linearly.
