Single-use lancet device (LD) includes a body (10/20). A movable skin engaging member (70) is at least partially disposed inside the body (10/20) and includes a lancet opening (LO) through which a lancet needle (LN) extends. A holding member (50) can move at least between a retracted position (Fig.3) and an extended position (Fig.9). The skin engaging member (70) is structured and arranged to retract into the body (10/20).
