PURPOSE: A work roll exchanging apparatus for a tension leveller is provided to exchange a waste work roll with a new work roll at a proceeding route of a strip without withdrawing a tension leveller unit. CONSTITUTION: A work roll exchanging apparatus includes a mobile transfer car capable of moving a tension leveller unit. A work roll standby section is rotatably installed on the mobile transfer car about a transverse rotating shaft. First and second mounting tables(35,82) are provided at upper and lower portions of the work roll standby section so as to place a waste work roll(a1) and a new work roll(a1-1) thereon, respectively. A new work roll feeding section is provided to feed new work rolls(a1-1) into the first mounting table(35). A waste work roll receiving section is provided to receive the waste work roll(a1) discharged from the second mounting table(82). A work roll moving section is provided to introduce the new work roll into the tension leveller unit. |
