LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A liquid crystal panel in which under high humidity environment, the leakage of light from the peripheral parts of the screen is small and uniformity of display is excellent; and a liquid crystal display are provided. The liquid crystal panel includes at least a liquid crystal cell, a first polarizing plate disposed on the visual confirmation side of the liquid crystal cell and a second polarizing plate disposed on the side opposite to the visual confirmation side of the liquid crystal cell. The dimensional change rate (C<SUB>1</SUB>) of the first polarizing plate is larger than the dimensional change rate (C<SUB>2</SUB>) of the second polarizing plate.
