<p>A system and method are provided for performing wireless diversity processing in a data-over-cable network. A diversity controller is provided which, based on signal-to-noise ratio, chooses an optimal path for receiving and transmitting data to and from a subscriber location. A stand-mounted access point enables wireless communication with subscriber locations. Diversity processing includes selection diversity, maximal rate combining, and equal gain combining.</p> |
